Postmark is full, sharp and rare.  Item sent FREE to Washington DC indicating political sender. Cannot decipher recipient's name, but clipping inside is of political nature and note at side of cover says See Webber about McAllister. Clipping from Evening News January 4, 1856. Since this postmark was first used in 1856, the could be an earliest known use cover. Cover has stain upper left that goes into postmark.
