Envelope is complete and letter is easy to read.  Warren L. Weeks writes to his sister Julia to say (spellings are his): dateline Cadeville N.Y Dec. 16, 55 "Dear sister, I now am agoing to improve. A few moments to let you now where I am and that I am well and hope that these following lines will find you injoying the same good helth. I came from home one weak ago last Wednesday and they was well there at home. Leander was jest gon. Mother was up to see him Tuesday before I stgarted Wednesday She thought that he could not live but a short time. I was at home most three weaks. They had a dance there to our house thanksgiving nite and had a dull time after eleven oclock. I am to work in a sawmill. I dont now as I shall stop here longer than this winter or not. It will be just how that I like this winter if I like or am cotented I may stop longer. Came by Lewiston when I came from home but was with some men coming out her and could not stop very well nor I's should stoped for I sohould liked to stoped and seen you. I was in a hury and cold not. I want you to write me as soon as you receive this letter and write how you like to Lewiston. Cintha Blake & Elmira Lawrance came to Lewiston in the cars when I came out here Answer the letter as soon as you receive this letter.  From Your Brother, Warren L.
