BROADALBIN NEW YORK 1846 MANUSCRIPT STAMPLESS FOLDED LETTER TO FONDA NEW YORK

Year:

1846
New York

Interesting, newsy letter from one cousin to another.  However, railroads are a common bond as well.  J. Wallace Cleveland was a director of the Gloversville and Broadalbin railroad. John M. Carroll was a stockholder in the Johnstown, Gloversville and Kingsboro Horse Railroad. From the salutation of the letter, they appear to be cousins. Broadalbin manuscript postmarks are fairly difficult to come by.
