FRANCE - 1822 STAMPLESS FOLDED LETTER TO TERNAY FRANCE Small early stampless folded letter postmarked at station 23 Sailland (unable to find community location. needs further research). Note No. 42 center left of front page. Apparently the correspondents numbered their letters so they would know if one was lost in transit. The writer also references receiving No. 47 from the addressee. Vertical mark running from middle top to bottom is the postage charge. |

We are offering for sale a wide variety of covers—from stampless covers to First Day Covers, from the very old, to contemporary.
