Nice PAID mark on this cover along with Watertown Ct postmark and manuscript 3 rate. Mary to Elisa. More news of weddings, sickness and death ("George Atwood has lost his wife. She died the last of December. Left an infant a week old.") and other events. Note Elisa's comments in another letter about her husband being an invisible man. She apparently asked Mary if she had seen him. Mary writes that he came on the evening train the day Elisa left to return home. She provides sage advice: "Be careful of good health, it is of more value than gold." THERE ARE FIVE LETTERS IN THIS GROUP. IF YOU WANT THEM ALL, WE WILL PROVIDE A DISCOUNT PRICE.
