A reflection on life and death in the early 1800s. Short note datelined Darien Connecticut from D. Roberts to his brother David in Glenns Falls, New York informing him of the death of their father. "Dear Brother, I have only time to say that our father died suddenly this day. We shall keep him untill first day. Cannot give you the particulars now. Will after a few days."
