Interesting letter from Cushing & Ames to Nathan Lazelle regarding an increase in the demand and therefore the price in nails. They had been selling at 6 cents a pound and will now sell at 7 cents a pound.  Full but light Boston 1820s #207 postmark on cover. 18.50 manuscript rate.  Separation on overleaf does not affect letterpage. 

Nathan Lazell was a co-founder of Lazell, Perkins and Company, a major iron works in Bridgewater, MA, in the late 18th century. It would later be known as the Bridgewater Iron Manufacturing Company. Cushing & Ames was a dry goods store located on Hanover Street, Boston.
