Letter is from Edward and describes his travels from Columbus Ohio to Albany, New York City, Pittsfield and back. He explains he did not stop to see her because he was sick. "I gave a young man (with a very nice moustach) a letter of introduction to you and he will call at your house tomorrow eve. So now I want you to write next Wednesday and let me know what you think of him. He is a very nice young man. He is going to Commertial (sic) College. His name is J. F Chapman."
