Long letter from Sarah Martial to her brother and sister with an additional page addressed to her daughter.  The ancestors of William Lord, Lyme Connecticut were founders of Hartford Connecticut. They moved to Lyme onto land they purchased directly from local Indians.  The letter writer thanks Lord and his sister for providing a piano to her daughter along with other news.  In the daughter's portion of the letter, she mentions she has spoken sharply to her husband about his conduct with the daughter.  Historic family letter along with excellent postal markings.  Letter in very clean condition.
